Angourie Resort Yamba, Yamba

We had a great time at this resort during our road trip! The two-bedroom apartment was spacious and perfect for two couples, with a lovely kitchen and dining area. The restaurant served delicious meals, but it was a shame we could only stay for one night. Overall, it was a pleasant stopover, but I wish we could have enjoyed the amenities a bit longer.

I had high hopes for our 'Girls Getaway Package' but was left disappointed by the service we received. While the bar staff and beautician were fantastic, the reception team struggled with basic inquiries, which affected our special weekend. On the flip side, the restaurant provided a lovely dinner experience. We faced a few issues like insufficient supplies for our group, which felt unacceptable for a resort of this caliber.

I had a mixed experience at the resort. While the pool area was lovely and the rooms were generally clean, my stay was marred by some issues. The spa bath wasn't usable due to grime, and I had an unpleasant encounter with a mouse. To top it off, the garbage bins near my apartment had a terrible odor. However, the positive pool refurbishment and the friendly staff did help offset some frustrations.

My weekend getaway was mostly enjoyable, with a modern, clean spa apartment and friendly staff, but I was disappointed by some cleanliness issues and the overpriced breakfast. The restaurant dinner was fantastic, but the pool area was less supervised than I would have liked, which detracted from the experience.

The resort has some really great features, like spacious rooms and a fantastic on-site restaurant, which exceeded our expectations. However, there were a few downsides, such as road noise and issues with Wi-Fi. Overall, it's a family-friendly place worth considering, especially for the price and amenities offered.
